ARIJ (Arab Reporters for Investigative Journalism) is the first and leading media organization in the region dedicated to promoting investigative journalism in Arab newsrooms, still a new practice.
ARIJ has over the past three years grown significantly in terms of staff and new tasks.
In 2006, ARIJ was a small scale operation at its start up with only three employees, managing an annual number of around 30 print-investigations for newspapers, planning and executing four basic investigative journalism workshops annually for Arab journalists and organizing a yearly regional networking and training Forum for 2-300 Arab journalists.
Today, at the end of 2015, ARIJ has now grown into an office with approx. 13 employees, responsible for a wide range of new tasks: TV, multimedia, Data Research Desk, website, training, annual ARIJ Forum.
The ARIJ Board and Management finds it necessary to make sure, that the organization is properly sized, organized and optimized, to meet the present and future challenges and tasks in light of the new ARIJ Strategy. It is also necessary to ensure that human resources are used in the best way possible with a focus on personal capacities of staff members and on the needs of the organizations.
Thus, we are looking for an HR consultant to review, assess and give recommendations for the organization of ARIJ, including staff assessments, organigram, procedures etc. Previous experience with editorial teams will be considered a plus.
