Radio al Balad honored Thursday the team which worked on the year long investigation into the abuses at private centers for the disabled which culminated in publications on the AmmanNet website, on radio al Balad, al Ghad daily and BBC TV Arabic.

Daoud Kuttab, general manager of radio al balad said that the investigative unit at the station has shown that local media can have an important role in uncovering secrets in a responsible way with the aim of reform and development.

Honored was the undercover journalist Hanan Khandakji, the head of the investigations unit Majdolin Alan, researcher Itaf Rodan as well as ARIJ (Arab Reporters for Investigative Journalism) and the Al Ghad daily newspaper.
