is a Swedish foreign correspondent, author and international news commentator based in Istanbul since 2014. Cristiansson previously worked from Nairobi and in Afghanistan. Over the past decade, she has covered mostly conflict areas in the Middle East. A freelancer, she works mainly for the Stockholm newspaper Expressen, doing investigative foreign news stories. The latest of her three books, House of Talal, is about a Gazan family that lost 29 members during the Cast Lead operation and about how the war affected women. Christiansson is now at work on an investigative book about Afghanistan. She joined the ARIJ Board in 2015.
