AMMAN (JT) – The Arab Reporters for Investigative Journalism (ARIJ) board of directors has decided to host the network’s second regional conference in Amman next year, as the Kingdom remains the only Arab country which has enacted a law to ensure the right of access to information. The annual ARIJ board meeting retained journalist Daoud Kuttab as chairman of the nonprofit organisation, and saw the appointment of new board members. They are Jordan Media Institute Director General Omar Rifai, Al Jazeera TV Chief Investigative Correspondent and Executive Producer Yosri Fouda and Nada Abdelsamad, career journalist and BBC radio correspondent in Lebanon, according to a statement issued by ARIJ. 19 December 2008
