ARIJ’s investigation “Forbidden Testimony: Anti-Christian Discrimination in Egyptian Courts”, by journalist Eman Adel won the “Ahmed Bahgat Investigative Award” in Al-Masry Al-Youm Press Awards.

The investigation reveals that family courts in Egypt reject the testimonies of Christians because of their religion, which constitutes discrimination contrary to the constitution & international treaties signed by Egypt.

The “Ahmed Bahgat Investigative Award” is granted to a young journalist who has accomplished an outstanding and comprehensive news treatment in the investigative format.
