Executive Editor and Coach

E’thar AlAzem is an investigative journalist currently serving as an executive editor, a data trainer and a coach at ARIJ. AlAzem holds a Master’s degree in Journalism and New Media from the Jordan Media Institute in Amman, along with a Data Diploma from ARIJ and a Data Certificate from DW Akademie. E’thar has trained hundreds of journalists and fact-checkers in data sourcing and analysis. She also trains journalists on reporting on artificial intelligence. In 2025, she was selected as a Pulitzer Center AI Spotlight Coaching Grantee, to help journalists navigate through the complexities of AI-driven reporting. AlAzem is also Specializing in complex social issues as a Fellow of the Global Early Childhood Reporting Institute.
