Egypt: License to kill children

28 March 2022

Mohamed ElSawy

This investigation documents the murder of five children at the hands of parents, relatives or neighbors and exposes flaws in recording causes of deaths, the falsification of death certificates to claim that they died of natural causes based on flawed investigations or the failure of health inspectors (coroners) to carry out proper examination of the victims corps – a practice that violates the Egyptian civil status law.
