Egyptian insurance companies’ funds appropriated to pseudo-deceased

An organised crime ring sweeping Egypt has specialised in tampering with life insurance documents and contracts, allowing people to commit death fraud to obtain huge compensation, causing insurance companies financial losses, amid weak oversight from Egypt’s health and interior ministries, and the absence of coordination between insurance companies and the Ministry of Interior.
