The technical ‘dual education’ program, known as the “Mubarak-Kohl” initiative in Egypt is enrolling hundreds of young Egyptian students in ‘technical training’ at factories, in conditions that violate both local and international child labor laws. Many of the workers are underage, some have been wounded in work, leading to permanent disabilities, and others have even died from their injuries.
