The investigation is competing in the same category alongside journalists Mortada Al-hudod from Iraq (Jummar) and Malika Akestour from Morocco (Raseef22).

The Climate School recently announced the launch of the first session of Climate School Award for Arab Journalism In partnership with the Greenpeace MENA. The award is dedicated to journalistic work published in Arabic on climate change, and includes seven categories: Best Human Story, Best Investigative Report, Best Multimedia Supported Report, Best Audio Report, Best Solutions Journalism Report, Best Story Award on Gender and Climate Justice Issues and Best News Agency Award for Climate Coverage.
