On December 22, ARIJ Coach and editor Firas Taweel won AMAN’s Integrity and Anti-corruption award for his “Illegal Fees from Palestinian Pockets” investigation published on October 16, 2020. the Investigation showed how fees are imposed by the Palestinian Bar Association upon legalization of notary documents, despite the Palestinian Basic Law that prohibits imposing fees not stipulated by law.
