ARIJ's investigation on Jordanian Cyclists wins The AIPS Sport Media Awards

ARIJ’s investigation “Jordanian Cyclists Quit the Sport Due to Poor Safety Provisions“ by journalists Marah Youssif and Muaz Zreiqi won The AIPS Sport Media Awards for the Special Awards category – Investigative Reporting.

The investigation revealed many violations against cyclists in Jordan, with no law to protect them and flowy health insurance regulations that do not guarantee their right to treatment in the event of traffic accidents. This prevents them from participating in international tournaments and pushes them to withdraw from the federation’s membership.
