Reports produced by "100 Watts Project" colleagues win prizes in The Jordanian Higher Council for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities competition

Journalist Salam Freihat’s report, “Deprived of Mobility, Unequipped Public Transport” won the first place in the coemption, and journalist Mona Abu Hammour’s report, “Blind Tailored Education: Concerns Outside the Capital” won the second prize, while journalist Hoda Al-Hanaifa won the third place, as she employed the skills she acquired in data journalism training to produce her winning story.

Journalist Salam Freihat’s report “Deprived of Mobility, Unequipped Public Transport” won first place in The Jordanian Higher Council for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities competition. The report addresses the challenges facing people with disabilities in transportation in Jordan, as a result of the unpreparedness of public transportation to receive and serve them.

Journalist Mona Abu Hammour’s report, “Blind Tailored Education:

Concerns Outside the Capital” won the second prize, it is a report that indicates that many blind students outside the capital-Amman, are forced to leave their cities and villages to complete their studies due to the lack of suitable schools for them in the areas in which they live.

Journalist Hoda Al-Hanaifeh won the third place, as she employed the skills she acquired in data journalism training to produce her winning story, which discusses the challenges faced by People with Short Stature in Jordan.
