“Missing Millions: Tunisia’s Petroleum Taxes” published on July 17 on both ARIJ’s website and Daraj, prompted the Access to Information Authority to rule that the Ministry of Finance must provide a detailed disclosure of oil companies’ tax payments to the ARIJ journalist who worked on the investigation. The investigation documented the absence of transparency in the Tunisian government’s data on the revenues collected from the taxes and fees of foreign oil companies.
