Following the publication of ARIJ’s COVID Bahrain investigation “Corona of the Poor in Bahrain” on immigrant workers’ poor housing conditions and their susceptibility to COVID-19 in October, the Bahraini Council of Ministers followed up on the issue of workers’ housing in light of the pandemic. They approved a proposal submitted by the House of Representatives to sterilize workers’ housing and raise awareness among their communities.
