ARIJ Editor-in-Chief, Munir Al-Khatib, joined the consultative board of the Environmental Investigative Forum, which focuses on supporting cross-border environmental investigations, networking between institutions and individuals specialised in this field, in addition to developing the capacities and skills of journalists to produce environmental investigative reports from all over the world.

The consultative council focuses on developing future plans and strategies, and designing projects that aim to bring in more funding for the Forum and its projects.

The forum was launched at the end of 2020, and has so far succeeded in networking between hundreds of journalists specialised in environmental journalism, and brought together 6 members representing different regions around the world. ARIJ is a representative of the pan arab region.
