ARIJ is Hiring a community manager

We are looking to hire a  skilled community manager. You will be responsible for Building and developing promotional campaigns, handling outreach and community development and engagement, articulating policies and procedures for creating a community network related to a project and ensuring working within donors’ and ARIJ reporting and compliance requirements.


Responsibilities: 

  • Working on maximum outreach of journalists, media newsrooms, fact checkers and media professionals.
  • Conducting a research with the support of the project manager to allocate national and regional communities and groups of the target niche audience while work closely with the senior graphic designer/developer to ensure proper visibility and branding of the project in all artwork and ARIJ websites.
  • Attending all activities to document with pictures and extract quotes and tips to be posted throughout the activities.
  • Following up and updating the material to the microsite, will closely follow-up on the editing and montage of new on-demand sessions among others.
  • Ensuring that the project is in line with donors’ requirements and drafting/ editing reports accordingly, in addition to abiding by any specific policies from the donors.
  • Being the focal point to communicate directly with  community members & Partners.
  • Following up with relevant team members on the finalization the editing, montaging of on-demand sessions, training material, resources and others and upload on ARIJ websites 
  • Creating and managing a virtual community and actively engaging all members towards better understanding and establishment of best practices in the region.
  • Managing and executing outreach to stakeholders and creating partnerships that benefit the project  process and community.
  • Leading the closed group for members, Continuously updating website material and designs.


Required Skills:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Thorough familiarity with word processing, spreadsheet, CMS and social media.
  • Ability to work effectively as a team member and independently.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure, trouble-shoot, and to meet short- and long-term deadlines.
  • Fluent in Arabic & English.
