Call for Offers

Amman — Preparations are underway for ARIJ’s 12th annual forum, titled “Media in a Radicalized World”, which is taking place in Amman. Every year, we continue to work with a group of skilled individuals that enable the conference to be a wonderful experience for participants and partners. This year, we are launching a call for the following services and service providers: Land Transportation – Flights – Simultaneous Interpretation – Equipment – Ushers


Please email your offer – about one or more of the five services-  to info@arij.net. It should detail in the subject line the service/s you would like to provide. The Forum takes place at a hotel in Amman on Nov. 22-24, 2019. We look forward to working with you.


Transport

Our speakers and invitees need to be transferred from Queen Alia International Airport to Amman hotels and vice versa.

Please provide your quote for Airport – Amman, Amman- Airport for the following vehicle types :

  • Standard Car.
  • Minivan.
  • Bus (18 people).
  • Bus (50 people).

Guests will be arriving on Nov. 21 and 22 and leaving on Nov. 25.


Simultaneous Interpretation 

The Forum’s sessions will be in Arabic and English and our audience is multinational. Therefore, simultaneous translation (Arabic – English and/ or English — Arabic) for each session. In total, we require a minimum of 10 translators for two days Nov. 23-24; and 6 translators for the opening day on Nov 22.

Please submit your quote per translator as well as the individual quote of the following elements:

  • A booth/ translation equipment,
  • Podium and handheld microphones,
  • A technician(s),
  • A sound system,
  • Receivers,
  • Headsets.
  • LED Screens
  • Projector and screen.


Flights

Attendees of the Forum shall fly in from all over the world. Please provide us with two-way ticket tariff to Queen Alia International Airport from the following destinations:

Guests will be arriving Nov. 21and 22, and leaving Nov. 25. Tickets need to be flexible 


Equipment

A vast assortment of equipment is required. Please send us a quote for the following items:

  • A sound system to cater for 200 people (speakers, mixer, power amplifier, 6x delegate microphones for a small table, 3x wireless microphones, podium microphone)
  • 1 LED screen 13m*3m with branding, screen quality is important
  • 1 42-inch LCD screen to be used on a stage
  • 17 chairs with tables
  • Lighting (opening/ closing) + stage
  • 2 laptops
  • A manageable Twitter feed application
  • 1 branded acrylic podium
  • 1 switcher
  • 4 rollup 2m* 0.85
  • 1 press box
  • 1 4×3 pop up
  • 1 12x4m backdrop
  • Name plates for speakers


Video recording:

  • For 3 days – 1 hour camera crane, 1 HD camera, Nixer, directing, editing, 2 dvd copies.
  • For 2 days – 4 hour HD camera, cameraperson, directing, editing, desk for materials.

This equipment will be required from Nov. 22 till Nov 24


Ushers

We need around 16 ushers for the three-day Forum. Ushers should help with the registration and opening ceremony on the evening of Nov. 22. They are also required to provide logistics during the workshops and panels on Nov 23- 24, and for the gala dinner on Nov. 24.


Please provide us with a total rate per usher for three days.
