ARIJ is announcing the opening of applications for four fellowship opportunities in 2025:

1. Two Fellowships in investigative reporting within the editorial department for three months (in-person).
2. One Fellowship for research within the editorial department for six months (in-person).
3. One Fellowship for a fact-checker with the Arab Fact-Checkers Network for six months (in-person).

These fellowships are offered as part of ARIJ’s collaboration with the Free Press Unlimited (FPU).

The fellowships are open to Jordanian investigative journalists or Arab journalists residing in Jordan, with at least five years of journalistic experience, preferably including investigative reporting. And for Jordanian fact-checkers or Arab fact-checkers residing in Jordan, with at least 2 years of fact-checking experience. 

Applications must include samples of published works, and if available, published investigative reports.

ARIJ provides:

• A monthly stipend of USD 700 Gross, which includes transportation expenses for the journalism fellowship.
• A monthly stipend of USD 800 Gross, which includes transportation expenses for fact-checking and research fellowship.
• Priority access to ARIJ’s training programs.
• Applications are open from December 6, 2024 to January 30, 2025.
