CLOSED: FREELANCE SAFETY SURGERIES AT ARIJ ANNUAL FORUM 2018

Amman- Rory Peck Trust and Frontline Freelance Register are to host Freelance Safety Surgeries at the 2018 ARIJ Annual Forum for Investigative Journalism.
The Safety Surgeries are free of charge and open to freelance investigative journalists working across all platforms, who cover the MENA region.
The tailored private consultations will focus on physical safety issues, including risk assessment and assignment planning.
The one-to-one safety sessions can cover topics ranging from navigating checkpoints to ensuring to pack the appropriate kit for assignments.
Guidance is intended to give freelance journalists access to knowledge and expertise that will help them improve their safety practice, as well as answer any questions.
The sessions will take place on Saturday, 1st December and Sunday, 2nd December at the ARIJ Annual Forum, which is taking place at Hilton Dead Sea Resort & Spa, Jordan. Two Arabic-speaking Safety Experts will deliver the sessions. Individual consultations last up to 45 minutes.
Deadline for applications is now closed. Selected participants will by notified by the 28th of November.
