Photojournalism.. an Investigative Tool for Storytelling

ARIJ in partnership with the Ethical Journalism Network (EJN) are offering a webinar on “Photojournalism.. an Investigative Tool for Investigative Journalism (Labour as an example and cases from the field)” for journalists from different Arab countries, the workshop will take place virtually on Monday – Nov 15 at 17:00- 20:00 Amman time
This 3 hour workshop will cover the different aspects of producing journalistic reports and video projects on labor. It will look into the history and development of labor journalism. The workshop will also show a number of TV investigations and explain how they were developed from idea to production. It will also shed light on the technical, ethical, and challenges journalists encounter to produce stories on labor and labor issues.
Photographer and Trainer in Social Photography and Visual Storytelling
Mohamad Badarne is a Palestinian photographer residing and living between Haifa and Berlin. He studied photography at the School of Arts in Haifa. Through his work, Badarne tells the stories of people and the details of their daily lives. He specializes in social photography and visual storytelling, and conducts training workshops in Palestine and other countries to use photography as a tool for social change. His work is exhibited in Amman, Morocco, Berlin, and the UN building in Geneva and New York. His work is bought by Darat Al Fonoun in Amman, and the International Labor Organization. Badarne is currently working on a United Nations project and other personal projects.
